What's the US agenda.

The US as shown an over abundance of support for Haiti on the heels of the recent earthquake, can't help to wonder why? Do they need a military base on Haiti? are they losing their base in the Dominican Republic? Or do they need a UN vote sometime in the near future?

Also can't help to notice that China was the first to enter Haiti with aids, are the US nervous? another Cuban missile crisis on the horizon? maybe.

America, indeed, always shows a deep awareness to other countries in time of need. Heidi is painfully suffering, America along with numerous other countries spend their tax dollars to aid Heidi in hope to bring Heidi back on her feet asap. It is simply the humane thing to do.

How many Secretaries of State has visted Haiti? how many former Presidents has been to Haiti? both Clintons has gone to Haiti after the earthquake.  
This week came the release of We Are The World 2010, the US didn't show this much support for the tsunami of 2004 in which 230,000 people died.  Hurricane Katrina in 2005 which killed 1,836 people.  Why the sudden interest in Haiti?...

    well... to be fair, this forum does allow pure english posts and if you really look for his post you'll notice he never (or at least ive never seen) posts in Mandarin. so he probably just couldn't type it, and it's perfectly normal (hey, typing these things can be very difficult)
