1994 年，從大不列顛群島平地一聲雷地崛起了一支年輕搖滾勁旅，他們復古中挾帶實驗性的英式搖滾曲風，在在令人聯想到史上最偉大的搖滾樂團一 THE BEATLES。這支成軍於  1992 年的組合，由五個執著於搖滾樂、摒棄商業包裝的小伙子共創。一次在蘇格蘭某間酒吧的演出之後，這塊璞玉終被識貨的唱片公司相中，而即使被推上主流音樂舞台，這幾個固執的男孩子仍堅持忠於原味的音樂創作，不願淹沒於商業潮流之下。這股可愛的傻勁顯然獲得聽膩了公式化主流音樂之眾多樂迷的共嗚，使得他們首支在英推出的單曲 "SUPEBSONIC" 一嗚驚人地驃悍登上獨立唱片排行榜首王座；接下來的 "SHAKERMAKER" 照樣勇叩全英前十名大關一連串的好彩頭讓包括這兩首歌在內的 OASIS 首張專輯 "DEFINITELY MAYBE" 所獲冠軍來得理所當然。OASIS 自制且內斂的演唱風格，讓他們成為一片喧嚷另類搖滾中的酷派另類；鋒芒畢露但冷靜維持張力的搖滾力作之外，慢版抒情歌曲 "LIVE FOREVER" 以及 "MARRIED WITH CHILDREN" 在主唱 LIAM 乾淨嗓音和俐落剪裁的編曲搭配下，存留給聽者充份的空間體驗沈澱下來的情緒。傑出的內容相信會讓 THE BEATLES 為有這樣的同鄉小老弟而感到驕傲。
