I think it is very unlikely that the electors will refuse to vote accordingly.  Even though right now there are a lot of protests against Trump, if they refuse to vote, his supporters will also protest strongly.  So in either case, there will be a lot of protests.  Also, since Trump has won by a wide margin, it takes a lot of electors' refusal in order to knock him down to below 270 votes (he is projected to win 306 votes now).  Trump knows he is not 100% the president yet, and that's why he has sounded so mellow after winning the election, very different from his "normal self"....

Some people said that Trump got most support from the poor and lower classes.  That is not exactly correct.  Hillary got strong support from the minorities, including Blacks, Hispanics etc. and those are more in the lower classes.  Democrats are famous for their generous welfare policies and they are more popular among the lower classes!  Obama wanted to implement universal healthcare (free healthcare for everyone) but it was resisted by the GOP and only achieved part of his original goal.
